  • Refrain from creating "God" in your own image
  • Do NOT praise or worship statues, stones, gems and/or physical man made objects
  • You should instead strive to have a personal, one on one relationship with Jesus

Thou Shalt Not Take the Name of the Lord Thy God in Vain

3

ABSTAIN from saying or doing the following:

  • "Jesus Christ!"

  • Using the Lord's name in a disrespectful phrase (i.e. w/ profanity)
  • Saying the Lord's name in a casual manner thereby diminishing his importance or worthiness (whether intended or not)
  • Using the Lord's name to manipulate others into giving you what you want or to rationalize selfish behavior

Remember the Sabbath Day To Keep It Holy

4

  • Reserve one day for rest and relaxation from work - shift your focus towards God
  • Enlighten your mind, soul and spirit with God's word
  • Honor, praise, worship and express gratitude for the Lord
  • Any and all blessings originate NOT from our work or labor but only from ONE source, Jesus Christ
  • All should rely on the Lord and NOT ourselves for salvation
